This week, Emilio Pucci launched its beautiful Spring/Summer ’18 campaign video on Instagram Stories with amazing results. Viewers open the shoppable video directly from the Stories “See More” function. From there they can click and engage with the items they find most interesting in the video and easily shop - all thanks to Smartzer shoppable video technology.

Not just for photos anymore, Instagram has quickly become the new go-to platform to discover inspiring video content. However, for a very long time there has been frustration among social media managers and marketers determined to make their video content link directly to their website. Salvation has come in the form of Instagram Stories swipe up to “See More” function. Smartzer uses this URL link in Instagram stories to allow the platform to support shoppable video on Instagram Stories.

The Smartzer Developer Team has been hard at work rolling out new features to keep up with changing media demands. One of our most exciting capabilities of the Smartzer interacrive video platform is that it allows Smartzer shoppable videos to run on Instagram and Facebook.


We were so excited to launch the NARS shoppable video today on both channels. The seamless system allows the user to shop from the video and stay within the Instagram and Facebook apps through the entire purchase journey.


As the user is watching an Instagram Story they are able to swipe up to see the full interactive experience within Instagram. The revolutionary look of the shoppable video was the perfect pairing for NARS NARSissist Collection video.

The shoppable video is launched when a user swipes up on an instagram story. The viewer can then watch the tutorial and click on any of the products to discover more details with a direct link to shop on the NARS E-Commerce site.


The shoppable video experience is also fully bespoke to match the branding and experience of the NARS website.

We are delighted to announce the release of our newest collaboration, this time with SimplyBe for their London Fashion Week ‘Curve Catwalk’.

Held at the Vinyl Factory in London last night, the Curve Catwalk, dubbed “the UK’s most size inclusive runway” featured models from size 8 – 26 in a celebration of real women of all shapes and sizes. The runway showcased trend-led products in a fully shoppable video which is currently live on the SimplyBe home page.


This collaboration is the most recent example of Smartzer’s rapid turnaround time when adding our innovative technology to pre-existing videos. The interactive runway went live at 20:30, one hour after we received it at 19:30. This has the clear benefit of engaging customers whilst a runway show is still fresh and relevant.


It’s been great to have positive feedback from SimplyBe, who have utilised our Instagram capacity by sharing a ‘shop the looks’ message via Instagram stories. This new feature of our technology is an extremely exciting one, meaning that a wider range of potential customers can be reached and so the content is more likely to be effectively monetized.
