We are honoured to see our founder Karoline Gross listed as one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe for the Media and Marketing category.
''They may be young, but they are ones for the ages. Our third annual 30 Under 30 Europe list features 300 young disruptors across a diverse list of categories, including entertainment, finance and technology. The honor roll includes a record number of 34 European countries, with entrepreneurs from places like Belarus and Kosovo for the first time. Our reporters vetted thousands of nominations and polled expert judges to compile the list and ensure that each member, whether a chart-topping musician or founder of a multi-million-dollar e-commerce company, is a leader in his or her industry.''
In the early days of developing the concept for Smartzer, Karoline was doing the MSc Technology Entrepreneurship degree at UCL. The Forbes 30 Under 30 list also included the alumni Chester Mojay-Sinclaire who founded Charity Checkout. You can read more in this article published by UCL School of Management.
It was also great to see another Hambro Perks portfolio company Vida founder Devika Wood included on the list.

Thank you for the additional mentions in Startups.co.uk, Kauppalehti, and Markkinointi & Mainonta in Finland.

Decoded Fashion connects over 20,000 innovators in the Fashion and Technology community. Tech It Easy, took place outside of Venice on the 17th of October. The topic of the day was identifying different trends in fashion 2018. New technologies were introduced to the Fashion related start-ups including on-demand garment manufacturing by Unmade, a design imposing technology for shoes by Smartpixels as well as an AI company Heuritech.

It was an excellent opportunity to connect with other fashion technology start-ups and be part of the dialogue of exciting trends in both fields for 2018.
Thank you to Tech It Easy for a great day!

All-aboard! Our founder, Karoline, joins the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan on business trade mission to Paris.

Smartzer was one of the thirteen fastest-growing London based start-ups invited on this month’s business trade mission to Paris. The trade mission is part of the Mayor’s International Business Programme which focuses on establishing a global network of cities to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses across different markets.
This particular trip was part of Khan’s plans to strengthen the ties and investment links between London and Paris. The trade mission is supported by KPMG and Eurostar, and the scale-ups took part in an on-board mentoring programme as they travelled between the two capitals. Once there, Karoline and the other tech companies explored opportunities for investment and international expansion in the French capital.
Of the day Khan said: “The companies travelling with us on this trade mission to Paris represent some of the most exciting scale-ups in London. We look forward to helping these vibrant and diverse companies cement opportunities and partnerships in Paris.”
The trip was a great opportunity to connect with other London based start-ups and possible Paris-based partners. Although Smartzer already has some presence in Paris, the day provided valuable insight tips on entering new global markets.
Thank you to the Mayor of London for a wonderful day!
