Fifty of the UK's breakthrough businesses and projects harnessing creativity and technology are featured in Createch's "Ones to Watch" report. Published at the Createch 2019 conference, the report was a part of London Technology week.
Smartzer has also been included in the list for their interactive video platform. Featuring shoppable video, livestream shopping videos and clickable images, Smartzer seeks to connect brands with this rapidly developing aspect of video content marketing.
"Ones to Watch" showcases 50 UK-based projects praised by experts for delivering new products, services, and experiences in the fields of Immersive Entertainment; Transformative Experience; Seamless Service and Personalised Tools.
Widely regarded as the world's leading tech conference, Createch 2019 marked its third year. The conference explores various topics including the global ecosystem of businesses, blending creativity and tech to create new products, services and experiences.
The Createch conference 2019 was hosted by Creative Industries Council (CIC), a joint forum between the creative industries and government. With this, the government and industry can work together to bring great creative stories from the UK to the world.
Furthermore, they focus on areas where there are barriers to growth facing the sector. For example, access to finance, skills, export markets, regulation, intellectual property (IP), diversity, and infrastructure.

CIC Co-Chair and BBC Studios CEO Tim Davie said: ‘The UK is world class for brilliant creative talent and technological expertise and Createch 2019 is an exciting opportunity to explore the boundless possibilities presented by the interaction of the two sectors.
Davie writes: "If now is the right time to look at Createch opportunities for your organisation, we believe the UK is the right place to bring those opportunities to market - and from there to the world."

HELLO, PARIS! HELLO, VIVATECH 2019!
Smartzer attended this years VivaTech, dedicated to innovation and startups in Paris.
Consumer expectations have grown. Especially with regard to e-commerce. VivaTech 2019 is packed with exciting innovations and Smartzer was honoured to be included in the LVMH Pavilion to showcase our interactive video collaboration with Emilio Pucci.

Our Founder & CEO Karoline, was joined by the Social Media and Digital Communication Manager, Luana Palumbo at Emilio Pucci to discuss the implementation of interactive and shoppable video experiences across the House’s e-commerce site, Instagram campaigns, and point-of-sale touchscreens.
In addition to shoppable video on the e-commerce site, we also created a demo for an interactive video in-store experience.
We placed the touchscreen at the LVMH Pavilion for people to be able to interact with the touch screen displaying the latest Emilio Pucci video as a shoppable video using the Smartzer Interactive video platform.
Viewers were able to click on items in on the video to explore product details with a QR code assigned to each product, allowing customers to easily find (and buy) anything from the video, directly via the interactive touch screen experience.
This was an exciting project exploring the true sense of 'omnichannel retail' and bringing the online experience and in-store experience closer together.

We are honoured to see our founder Karoline Gross listed as one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe for the Media and Marketing category.
''They may be young, but they are ones for the ages. Our third annual 30 Under 30 Europe list features 300 young disruptors across a diverse list of categories, including entertainment, finance and technology. The honor roll includes a record number of 34 European countries, with entrepreneurs from places like Belarus and Kosovo for the first time. Our reporters vetted thousands of nominations and polled expert judges to compile the list and ensure that each member, whether a chart-topping musician or founder of a multi-million-dollar e-commerce company, is a leader in his or her industry.''
In the early days of developing the concept for Smartzer, Karoline was doing the MSc Technology Entrepreneurship degree at UCL. The Forbes 30 Under 30 list also included the alumni Chester Mojay-Sinclaire who founded Charity Checkout. You can read more in this article published by UCL School of Management.
It was also great to see another Hambro Perks portfolio company Vida founder Devika Wood included on the list.

Thank you for the additional mentions in Startups.co.uk, Kauppalehti, and Markkinointi & Mainonta in Finland.
